New Delhi: As the war triggered by US-Israeli attack on Iran enters day 12 today, the two countries continue to bomb civilian sites in Iran. According to Iran’s UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani, 10,000 civilian sites have been hit in the country by the US-Israel attacks, including about 8,000 residential homes, and the death toll has reached more than 1,300 people.Meanwhile, Israel launched new attacks on Beirut’s central suburbs on Wednesday (March 11), as per reports. As per AP, Iran kept up its pressure on the region’s oil industry, hitting a ship in the Strait of Hormuz and targeting infrastructure as concerns grew of a global energy crisis.On Tuesday (March 10), external affairs minister S. Jaishankar spoke with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi for the third time since the war began. “A detailed conversation this evening with Foreign Minister @araghchi of Iran on the latest developments regarding the ongoing conflict. We agreed to remain in touch,” Jaishankar said on social media.Amid the LPG crisis, a section of hotels and restaurants in Tamil Nadu, particular in Chennai declared a holiday on Wednesday, PTI reported. The hotel and restaurants industry in other parts of the country like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai are also facing issues due to lack of commercial LPG supply.
