New Delhi: A peace deal was reached between Iran and the United States declaring the “immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon”. The deal was mediated by Pakistan. Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian called it a “historical” message. However, the Israeli military has not stopped its attacks in southern Lebanon. This is Day 112 of the US-Israel war on Iran.Talks had been planned between the United States and Iran in Switzerland on Friday (June 19) but they were postponed, according to a Swiss foreign ministry statement.Overnight Israeli air attacks were reportedly also carried out in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, as well as in the east of Deir el-Balah.Israel’s military has said that it will continue to strike against “Hezbollah members” and infrastructure in southern Lebanon, regardless of the US-Iran MoU.Follow for live updates here.
