A Varanasi district court dismissed the Anjuman Islamia Masjid committee’s plea, filed under Order 7 Rule 11 CPC, challenging the maintainability of the suit filed by five Hindu women to allow them to have year-round access to what they claimed was the ‘Maa Shringar Gauri shrine’ located behind the western wall of the Gyanvapi mosque complex.The court on Monday, September 12, ruled in favour of Hindu petitioners and held their petition maintainable.Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee representative S.M.
