The Supreme Court of India has decriminalised Section 377 that targeted people of the LGBTQ+ community. While there was vibrant discussion around the judgment, yet we do not find such conversations taking place within society at large. The spheres of art and culture have always reflected the existence of LGBTQ+ communities. This is particularly evident in Urdu poetry.
