A team from The Wire visited two coaching centres in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar and Laxmi Nagar and spoke with students and teachers about fire safety in light of the recent tragedy in Surat.We found that fire safety regulations are blatantly disregarded at most coaching centres. And due to congestion and overuse, most buildings in which classes are conducted are at risk of fire-related accidents.
