Members of the Chenchu scheduled tribe in Amaragiri village of Nagarkurnool constituency were engaged in inter-generational bonded labour by the Golla caste. They were forced to sell their catch of fish to the Gollas at nominal prices. Now, three members have been elected to the gram panchayat.
