The Wire‘s Yaqut Ali went to Mathura in Uttar Pradesh to meet the Muslim workers at the Srinath Dosa Stall – now renamed ‘American Dosa Corner’ – to enquire about the vandalism of the stall by Devraj Pandit and the Rashtriya Hindu Yuva Vahini on August 18. He interviewed other food stall owners and the deputy superintendent of police Varun Kumar Singh about the incident, and also spoke to a friend of Pandit, who was part of the group of Hindutva activists who forcibly tore down the stall’s signboard.
