In Kolkata, during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘march to Nabanna’ on September 14, at least four people were arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer and setting a police vehicle on fire.

A day before the arrest, during the rally, assistant commissioner of police Debajit Chattopadhyay was allegedly hit with sticks by some individuals in the Bowbazar area.
