One of the biggest problems in Bihar are the floods that ravage it on an annual basis. Despite it being such a long-standing problem, no adequate steps have been taken by any government to fix the problem once and for all, people say. More so, even though the government claims to provide proper resources, and food and water to people during such hard times, locals say that more often than not it is the opposite.
According to voters in Saran district, no public representative has come to check in on them to see how they are faring. Senior editor of The Wire Arfa Khanum Sherwani visited some villages in the district to get an idea of the grievances of the people.
