Women dissenters who spearheaded the agitation against the citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at the historical Ghanta Ghar in Lucknow in 2020 are now going to contest a political battle against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.These women activists say that they moved from activism to active electoral politics to intensify their political fight against the CAA and to bring it into the centre of politics in the state.
