The Supreme Court has refused to interfere in the middle of the election process and adjourned an application seeking directions to the Election Commission of India to publish the booth-wise absolute numbers of voter turnout and upload the Form 17C records of votes polled on its website.Almost a month after Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his speech in Rajasthan’s Banswara, where he openly targeted Indian Muslims by calling them infiltrators and those who produce more children, the Election Commission of India has ruled that the BJP’s star campaigner violated the Model Code of Conduct but did not name Modi.Meanwhile, Modi has once again claimed his own divinity by asserting in an interview that until his mother was alive he thought he was born biologically, but he feels that he was “sent by God”.The Calcutta high court has cancelled all Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates issued by the West Bengal government after 2010.
