In Hyderabad, a 125-foot-tall bronze statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar is set to be inaugurated on April 14. The statue, along the Tank Bund PV Marg Necklace Road route, will have the Constitution in Ambedkar’s left hand. This is set to be the tallest statue of Ambedkar ever built.The statue is on the banks of the Hussainsagar and near the upcoming new Telangana state secretariat named after Ambedkar. Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the statue on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.The total cost is said to be Rs 146.5 crore.Photographer Sanjay Borra visited the construction site on March 23 and 24, 2023, and documented the work going into the project in the days before its inauguration.Construction workers work on the entrance gate of 125ft tall bronze statue of B.R.
