New Delhi: An Indian woman was among four killed in a truck bomb attack near a fortified residential complex for foreign workers in Kabul on Monday night.In a statement on Tuesday, India condemned the attack and called for the “perpetrators of this heinous attack and those who provide them shelter” to be brought to justice at the earliest.A bomb-laden truck exploded near Green Village compound on Monday night, with the blast reportedly heard throughout the capital city. Besides a death toll of four, around 90 people are reportedly injured. This is not the first such attack on this compound.As per sources, the Indian victim – originally from Rajasthan – was working in an organisation active in the civil society sphere. She was killed when her residence collapsed due to the blast wave, sources added.The Taliban has already claimed responsibility for the attack. In a message to the media, a Taliban spokesperson vowed to carry out more such attacks as retaliation for the appointment of Amrullah Saleh as Interior Minister.The truck-bomb attack takes place against the background of increased outreach by international players to the Taliban in order to kick-start the Afghan peace process.
