New Delhi: A minor boy along with his three friends allegedly shot at his teacher in Ghaziabad after being scolded in class for misbehaving with others, news reports said.The accused, a student of Krishna Vidhya Niketan school at Meerut road in the Muradnagar area of Ghaziabad, was scolded by his commerce teacher identified as Sachin Tyagi, a resident of Saraswati Vihar colony in New Delhi.Iraz Raja, superintendent of police (rural), Ghaziabad told the Millennium Post that the teacher was attacked when he was going towards his house on his motorcycle. “The accused was standing nearly a hundred metres away from the school gate along with his two friends and they stopped Sachin’s bike. The accused shot him while going home,” the SP told the portal.According to the report, the CCTV footage showed the boy fired at his teacher with a pistol and then fled from the spot. However, the bullet didn’t hit the teacher, the report added.After an hour, the teacher reached the police station with a mark of bullet injury and filed an FIR against the student under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC. The scooty used in the crime scene has also been seized. Police investigation is underway.
