New Delhi: Rapper MC Stan’s concert in Indore was cancelled mid-way, after members of the Karni Sena disrupted the show, claiming that the artiste uses foul language in his songs.According to eyewitnesses quoted by PTI, the concert at a hotel in Indore’s Lasudia area was halted midway on Friday (March 17) night. Video clips surfaced on social media, which apparently showed the Karni Sena members on the stage after the rapper had left the podium. From the stage, the Karni Sena also reportedly threatened further disruption.The police are learned to have used mild force to clear the protesters.The district unit president of Karni Sena, Anurag Pratap Singh Raghav claimed that the rapper was forced to leave the venue, after his group took charge of the show. “MC Stan is spreading obscenity among youngsters by using foul language in his songs”.The winner of the reality TV show, Big Boss 16, has been on a multi-city tour. After Indore, MC Stan is scheduled to have a show in Mahrashtra’s Nagpur on Saturday.Loksatta newspaper reported that the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has opposed the concert citing that the rapper has allegedly been using obscene language and encouraging youngsters to consume drugs.“MC will not allow Stan to come for any event in Nagpur city. This type of thing will not be tolerated by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena….if the government allows this event, we will go to its venue and demolish it,” the MNS told Loksatta.
