New Delhi: The stage is set as the opposition INDIA bloc prepares for mega rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan today, Sunday (November 1) against the alleged electoral irregularities and to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition leaders and supporters from across states have already started arriving in the national capital for a show of strength. INDIA bloc leaders will begin their march from Minto Road and end with a rally at the Ramlila Maidan.Posters were put up announcing the ‘Chalo Delhi’ march, and banners with faces of prominent leaders across the Ramlila Maidan. Security personnel were deployed and CCTVs have been set up around the venue. Notably, the Delhi Police has not granted permission for march until reaching the Maidan.On Saturday, the INDIA bloc conducted a symbolic “public impeachment” at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s lawns over the conduct of the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, accusing Kumar of “treason against th e Constitution of India”.Follow this live blog for updates.
