New Delhi: On October 27, the Delhi Police stopped a gathering of protesters at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, who had assembled to show their solidarity with the people of Palestine.The Delhi Police detained over 200 protestors from Jantar Mantar, including women, social activists, and students.This protest was organised under the banner of ‘Friends of Palestine,’ which includes organisations such as the Welfare Party Fraternity Movement, Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India, National Federation of GIO, Mewati Students Union, and various other civil society groups.Students from various colleges and universities in Delhi participated in this protest. Most of the students were holding posters in support of Palestine and chanted slogans against the Israeli government.The protesting students were detained by the Delhi Police and taken to the police station.
