Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has condemned a section of Indian Muslims celebrating the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan, calling it “dangerous”.
The 71-year-old actor said in the video that those celebrating the resurgence of the Taliban should ask themselves whether they want to reform their religion or live with barbarian values of the past few centuries. Arfa Khanum Sherwani, The Wire’s senior editor, discusses this statement with Shah.
