Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra, Congress national general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge, on October 31, Sunday declared eight pledges while addressing thousands of people at Gorakhpur’s Champa Devi Park.
She spoke about giving a 40% share in party tickets to women candidates in Uttar Pradesh. She also promised a farm loan waiver and purchasing paddy and wheat at Rs 2,500 per quintal, and sugarcane at Rs 400 per quintal.
She announced that the party will provide class 12 pass girls with smartphones and all graduate girls with an electronic scooty if it comes to power in the state in 2022. She also promised to give fish farming the status of agriculture.
