M.K. Venu, one of the founding editors of The Wire, interviews Kanhaiya Kumar about his new book From Bihar to Tihar. Kanhaiya Kumar is the former president of JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) who shot to fame after he, along with some other JNU students, was charged with sedition in February this year.
Kumar tells us about his formative years as a political activist, challenges he faced as JNUSU president, his views on contemporary national politics and how a boy from a small town in Bihar landed in a prison in Delhi (Tihar).
From Bihar to Tihar is available in bookstores and on the Juggernaut app.
