Ashok Kumar Pandey, the author of the book Kashmir Aur Kashmiri Pandit, talked to The Wire‘s Sumedha Pal about the controversial film The Kashmir Files. He described the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 as one of the biggest tragedies of independent India. He also says the movie is being used to create an atmosphere of insecurity among minorities. Pandey said that the way the movie has been promoted by government functionaries and members of the BJP makes it evident that it comes with an agenda. Watch the video for more details.
