Kerala is one of three states going to polls tomorrow, and the question on everyone’s minds is whether the Left Democratic Front will be able to retain power for a record third term in a state otherwise known to change governments every five years. Whether the Bharatiya Janata Party’s rise will in fact change the state’s otherwise bipolar contest is also a matter of debate. The Wire’s Jahnavi Sen is joined by political scientist J. Prabhash, former professor in the University of Kerala, to talk about what these elections could mean for Kerala and beyond.
