The Yogi Adityanath government, following in the footsteps of the Union government, is on a history changing spree. Names of cities are being changed and historically proved facts are being altered.

“This is worrying, but far more worrying is the larger ambience in which it is taking place, such as lynchings” of Muslims, says Dilip Menon, professor of South Asian history at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.
