New Delhi: Agitators demanding Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation continued protesting at Jantar Mantar Road today, Saturday (July 18), after the Delhi police forcibly removed a hunger-striking Sonam Wangchuk from the site this morning.While Wangchuk is in Safdarjung Hospital around eight kilometres away and the Cockroach Janta Party’s Abhijeet Dipke has begun his own indefinite fast – joining a number of Left student activists in that regard – to press for Pradhan’s resignation, protesters at Jantar Mantar Road have carried on making posters and chanting slogans amid a sizeable police presence.Here are some scenes from the site as of late Saturday morning: All photos by special arrangement.
