The opposition alliance of 26 parties – united under the acronym INDIA or the Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance – is meeting in Mumbai.Crucial questions on the way ahead for the parties as they take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are slated to be discussed in the meeting.This meeting is being hosted by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Bal Thackeray) head Uddhav Thackeray.Among other leaders present are Congress’s Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress’s Mamata Banerjee and Derek O’Brien, Aam Aadmi Party’s Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and Raghav Chadha, Janata Dal (United)’s Nitish Kumar, Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s M.K. Stalin and T.R. Balu, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, Communist Party of India (Marxist)’s Sitaram Yechury, National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah, and Revolutionary Socialist Party’s Manoj Bhattacharya.
