New Delhi: About 62.84% voter turnout was recorded as of 8 pm across the 96 constituencies in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 13, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).With the conclusion of the fourth phase, polling for General Elections has crossed the halfway mark, as elections are now complete in 23 states/UTs and 379 parliamentary constituencies. Polling is also now complete for the state legislative assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh and 28 assembly seats of Odisha state assembly.Although polling was closed at 6 pm on Monday, a large number of voters were still in thequeue at polling stations, the ECI press release.
