Bharatiya Janata Party MP, Pragya Singh Thakur, on December 25, asked a gathering in Karnataka’s Shivamogga to “keep weapons at home” and “be prepared to cut the enemy’s head”.She also criticised “love jihad” and urged Hindus not to send their children to missionary schools. She made these comments while addressing Hindu Jagarana Vedike’s South Region annual convention in Karnataka’s town. However, this is not the first time the BJP MP has made such inflammatory comments on a public platform.Interestingly, the BJP MP is out on bail in the 2008 Malegaon blast case and is exempted from appearing for hearings on medical grounds. The Wire’s Yaqut Ali spoke to experts who talked about how such hate speeches have been dividing the nation.Note: After this video was published, a case was registered against Thakur.
