New Delhi: Israel has conducted a targeted attack on a tent of journalists in Gaza, killing five Al Jazeera journalists – Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa.Two others were also killed in the attack on the tent, located just outside the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.Al Jazeera has been one of the mainstays in unveiling the horrors of Israel’s war against Gaza, with correspondents assiduously reporting amidst attacks, injuries, personal losses and starvation.Al Jazeera reported that these five journalists had been threatened for months.In a statement, the Al Jazeera Media Network condemned the killing as it bid “farewell to yet another group of its finest journalists, who boldly and courageously documented the plight of Gaza and its people since the onset of the war. “[I]t holds the Israeli occupation forces and government responsible for deliberately targeting and assassinating its journalists.
