Amid the worsening coronavirus situation in the country, the Central government has made a big announcement regarding vaccination on Monday. Under the liberalised rules, people above the age of 18 will be allowed to receive the vaccines from May 1. State governments have also been allowed to buy vaccine candidates directly from the manufacturers. The Central government’s decision came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with pharmaceutical companies and top doctors on Monday.
