The COVID-19 pandemic in India has taken a frightening form. For consecutive days, the country has been reporting more than 300,000 new cases of the coronavirus infection on a single day.After a record 349,691 lakh new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases have increased to 16,960,172. According to data released by the Union health ministry till Friday, more than 24 lakh people are still vulnerable to infection.
