The increase in prices of petrol and cooking gas has affected common people in the country. However, some ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have given bizarre justifications for the price hike.
The price of an LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 25 on August 18, and again by Rs 25 per cylinder on September 1. Now an LPG cylinder in Delhi costs Rs 885. The prices of petrol have already crossed Rs 100/litre in many states.
