After the government’s Constitution (Amendment) Bill was defeated in the Lok Sabha, the BJP has turned its attention to the state elections. The defeat in the Lok Sabha was a big setback for him.“He has fallen on his nose and now he has turned aggressive,” said Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay, journalist and author in a podcast conversation with Sidharth Bhatia.Mukhopadhyay, who has written a biography of Modi and a book on the RSS, said the BJP has now turned its full attention to the state elections, and the biggest prize would be winning West Bengal. “They are not leaving any stone unturned.”“Over the last, you know, 12 years emerged as the final frontier for the BJP. Till the time BJP is not able to win West Bengal, they always have an unfinished agenda.”Mukhopadhyay said “despite the fact of Mr. Modi, you know, parroting cooperative federalism in 2014, thereafter, he’s completely undermined the federal character of the nation of the republic right from the beginning. This time he decided to take it one step further under the guise of women’s reservation.”
