New Delhi: The deputy chief medical officer of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh was found dead in a hotel room on the morning of Monday, April 24.Fifty-one-year-old Sunil Kumar Singh is suspected to have died by suicide, police told reporters. His body was found by hotel employees.Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepak Bhukar said that early on Monday, police received information that the doctor was not opening the door of his room, News18 has reported.Kumar had earlier been appointed as the nodal officer for communicable diseases.Originally from Varanasi, Singh is learned to have checked into the hotel on the evening of Sunday, April 23.
