New Delhi: A gangster accused of having been the mastermind of the shooting in the Rohini Court in 2021 that killed another gangster, was killed in an attack by his alleged rivals inside the Tihar Jail today, May 2.Tillu Tajpuriya or Sunil Mann was attacked by gangster Yogesh Tunda inside the jail premises. Tajpuriya was hit with iron rods, jail authorities have said, according to reports.Indian Express has named Tunda’s associates Deepak Titar, Rajesh Singh and Riyaz Khan as having been part of Tunda’s gang that led the assault on Tajpuriya.The Tihar Jail is a high-security prison.Police said he was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead.In September 2021, extraordinary scenes were witnessed at Delhi’s Rohini court when two people dressed in lawyers’ clothes opened fire at gangster Jitendra Maan alias Gogi, killing him.Both assailants, said to be members of Tajpuriya’s rival gang, were killed by police in retaliation. Tajpuriya, although jailed then, was named the conspirator for the killing.
