New Delhi: A juvenile was arrested for allegedly killing a woman whose four-year-old son urinated in front of the 17-year-old’s house in the Rohini area of Delhi, police said on Thursday.Savita Rana alias Priya (33) was killed in the Aman Vihar area on Wednesday.The police were informed at 11:22 pm about the killing and a case was registered at the Aman Vihar police station, a senior police officer told news agency PTI.“During the investigation, a juvenile has been apprehended. Both the accused and the victim reside nearby in the same locality. An altercation had taken between them over trivial issues,” said the deputy commissioner of police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal.The complete details of the incident are yet unclear. While PTI said that the four-year-old boy had urinated before the accused’s house, a Times of India report said that he had in fact defecated. The age of the boy and the weapon used for the murder also vary in different reports.The victim and the accused had recently gotten into a heated argument about public defecation and urination, the police said. Rana’s four-year-old son had urinated in front of the accused’s house, the DCP told news agency PTI.A Times of India report, however, said that Rana’s son had defecated outside the juvenile’s house. In retaliation, the juvenile had urinated outside the victim’s house, the report says.The newspaper said that the victim and the accused had also got into an argument on the day before the murder and the victim had threatened legal action against the teenager. A call was also made to the police control room on that day, but both parties seemed to have “compromised”.But the juvenile went to the woman later and there was another argument, during which he attacked the woman with a kitchen knife. Meanwhile, PTI said that the woman was attacked with a razor.Pranav Tayal, DCP (Rohini) said, “The accused was later apprehended by police. The victim’s son was playing outside the clinic and her husband was away when she was attacked.(With PTI inputs)
