Actor Swara Bhasker has emerged as an active voice against the communal politics of the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre. Since the new Citizenship (Amendment) Act was passed, Bhasker and other actors from Bollywood have openly criticised it.
