In Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), all four office-bearers of the JNUSU, along with a former JNUSU president, have been ‘rusticated’ – placed on suspension – for nearly one year, which includes two semesters.The students have also been asked to vacate their hostels on JNU campus.Following this action, the JNU Student’s Union has been staging a protest on campus for the past six days. The students are demanding that the action be rolled back and that their other demands be addressed immediately by the vice-chancellor and JNU administration.
