Doctors have taken to the streets of Delhi, demanding that the academic counselling of NEET-PG, for the admission of 50,000 MBBS doctors, should be conducted immediately. The exam was conducted in September this year. The counselling is the last step before these students are admitted to medical colleges for further study and care work.
Apart from the protest outside the health ministry in the national capital, similar protests have been reported in Agra, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Imphal, Jaipur, Prayagraj and other cities.
The Wire‘s Yaqut Ali spoke to some of the protesting doctors to understand their demands.
