The Uttar Pradesh government moved to local court in Lucknow, seeking to cancel the bail of three anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act protestors accused of vandalism during the protest against the Act in December 19, 2019.A sessions judge issued summons to Congress leader and activist Sadaf Jafar, stage artist Deepak Kabir and advocate Mohammad Shoaib. The court listed the matter for next hearing on September 5.
