EU’s top diplomat Federica Mogherini said that EU member countries combined were now Cuba’s most important economic partner and announced a series of agreements.
The vote comes the day after the first anniversary of revolutionary leader Fidel Castro’s death and precedes another election early next year for provincial and national assembly deputies.
In his first critical remarks directed at Trump since he took office, Castro termed his trade policies “egotistical” and his plan to build a wall along the Mexican border “irrational.”
