Beijing: China and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen anti-terrorism and security cooperation along a US  $50 billion economic corridor that links the restive regions of the two countries through a network of rail and road projects.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) connects Xinjiang province in northwest China with the deep-water Gwadar port on the Arabian Sea in southwestern Pakistan. It faces challenges from Islamic militants in both the regions.

The CPEC, a part of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road (B&R) initiative, runs through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and India has raised objection to the project.

The security cooperation agreement was reached when Meng Jianzhu, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party Central Committee, met visiting Pakistani foreign minister Khawaja Asif and Pakistani National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua yesterday in Beijing.

Reports have said that Pakistan deployed a 15,000-strong military force to protect Chinese nationals working on various projects linked to the CPEC. This includes 9,000 Pakistan Army soldiers and 6,000 para-military forces personnel.

About 71,000 Chinese reported to have visited Pakistan last year.

Meng praised Pakistan’s efforts in counter-terrorism and called for strengthened anti-terrorism and security cooperation in building the ambitious economic corridor.

“China and Pakistan, as good friends, friendly neighbours and all-weather strategic cooperative partners, have always firmly supported each other’s core interests,” Meng said.

Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi met Asif.

“Promoting the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan is an unchanged policy,” Yang said.

He called for advancing the CPEC project and strengthening communication on issues of regional security.

Asif said maintaining friendly relations with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

Pakistan would take the opportunity provided by the CPEC to boost bilateral ties, he said.

Yesterday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi praised Pakistan’s anti-terrorism record when he met Asif.

“Pakistan is a good brother and iron friend of China. No one knows Pakistan and understands Pakistan better than China,” he said.

India is in one far away corner of mighty Asia Pacific region that has over 50 countries represented in the UNO.

China is bringing a paradigm change to the world connecting Europe and Africa to Asia Pacific land masses.

Already China is running trains to many destinations in Asia and Europe for mostly goods transport.

The day day when people would also benefit connecting from such networks is not far away.

And it’s plans to connect the world through sea routes more seamlessly will also go a long way to bridge any gaps!

India is in a miserable state, connectivity wise.

While a a return air ticket between India and USA is possible for fifty to sixty thousand, it might cost more on some days between two Indian cities.

Administrative hassles in India are designed against the development and cultural integration of Indian people with rest of the world.

There is simply no other country in the world that is so disconnected with rest of the world as India is.

Indians are doomed as frogs in a well with extreme bad connectivity with rest of the Nieghbours and rest of the world!

It is a matter of extreme shame and dishonour.

What kind of a country are we that can not even connect by a ferry and/or bridge a gap as narrow as the palk strait of less than 25 km!

    Abysmal politics and economics!

What kind of a cultural and political pariah are we India?

Today India is the largest importer of defence supplies in the world.

Shri Modi has signed historically large arms deals with USA, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel etc.

from the time British left in 1947, these arms exporters have formed a great cartel to keep India under their hold for arms supplies, other supplies and imports and for sinful geopolitical strategies.

Mercenary civil servents, military personnel and political and camprador industry guys have solidified the neo colonial bonds with their erstwhile bosses and their new mafia partners!

That’s how India has ended up the way it is.

Present Indian opposition to the belt and road initiative is rooted in this subservience to neo colonialism where even japan and Australia etc are joining their big brothers!

The road running through POK IS ONLY A COVER for the goebbels propaganda.

Agreements signed between China and Pakistan at the insistence of China clearly state that the POK IS A DISPUTED territory and as and when the territorial dispute is sorted out China will deal with whichever political entity having Control over the respective geographical area!

As such INDIAN interests are completely protected at the initiative of China!

How many Indians can see this, and understand?

Can there be a fairer or more reasonable arrangement in international relations?

INDIAN people must understand that their safety and security and development and prosperity is not dependent on aligning with the neo colonialism but by joining the great hordes of anti neo colonial and neo imperialist forces striving for peace and tranquility in the world.

India will prosper more if and when INDIAN people can see through these nefarious designs being thrust on them.

When they can see, discuss, debate and analyse these things and know the truth, and elect right thinking people, only then change can come.

Indians must stop hurting themselves through the mercenary elements in all major political parties, administration and armed services that have been keeping India in the grip of our arms suppliers and geopolitical vested interests if the western world and their Pacific collaborators like japan and Australia under the leadership of the mighty neo imperial forces of the US OF AMERICA!
